How to Acquire
Craft > Metal Working > Battleaxe of the Twelfth Bay It requires a massive Twelve steel, and two leather.
Use
Equip the axe with both hands. It can be used for basic tasks that can be done by a stone axe, such as chopping down trees, mining and shearing sheep. This axe is the same chopping speed as that of a stone axe.
It also allows the wearer to use the combat moves Valorous Strike, Chop, and Cleave.
Name
The name of this axe originates from the producers of Dwarf Fortress, Bay 12 games. Members of the Bay 12 forums were one of the first major groups to start playing Haven & Hearth, establishing the town of Bottleneck. Jorb has stated that this is the first, and last time that items will be named after communities that join the game.
