Building the Wilderness Beacon allows you to set a password for it. Another player can enter in from the character creation area (the area where you choose a name), there you need to find the skull near the graveyard and type in the password, then choose a name and burn yourself into the world. This allows the new character to spawn at the beacon. A player spawning at the beacon destroys it and creates a hearthfire.

The Beacon lasts at most one hour after lit. If it is not used in that time, it is destroyed.
