Carts are used to easily move up to six liftable objects. A pulled cart will move at different speeds over different terrains, with paved ground being the fastest. If a pulled cart runs into another stationary object, the cart will be released and you will need to select the cart again. Carts cannot carry inventory items unless you put them into a container first.

How to Use

Right click on the cart to pull it. Once selected, your character may leave the cart in one of two ways: running into another object or right clicking the Cart.

To load the cart, use the Lift skill and lift the object in question and then right click the cart. The cart graphic will change to show a bag in it to indicate that there is now something inside it. The graphic will change from 1-6 bags inside showing the number of objects inside. To unload a cart, right click one of the bags and you will start carrying the item. You can also use the cart to kill small animals like rabbits and chickens by driving over them, but no butcherable corpse will be generated.

You can pick up liftable objects while pulling a cart. This means you can carry a rowboat loaded with two objects while pulling a cart, allowing you to move 8 objects at once. The downside to this is you will move at crawl speed regardless of terrain.

Carts are a good way of hauling bulk items using Wheelbarrows

Carts can also travel through Milestone and Wooden Roadsign fast travel actions.

Carts can also be pulled while using Wilderness Skis or a Kicksled, or through shallow water while using a dugout. [Verify: shallow Ocean.]
