The Milling Machine must be constructed inside a Windmill or a Watermill. Currently, it is used to grind flour at a significantly faster rate than using a Quern.
Right click with the wheat or barley on the machine. When it stops working right click with a bucket or barrel to gather the flour.
Notes
- Currently the milling machines do not take quality of machine into account (or the characters skills) when calculating flour quality (Flour Q == Seed Q), but loftar stated in comments of the patch he may change that in a later patch referring to bee skeps/hives.
- Stamina is not drained, but it will not produce Uncrushed Husks like with a Quern.
- When the milling machine is active, one can only add the same type of flour-type to be milled.
- When its not active, but still holding some flour, generating another flour-type will replace the older stored flour.
- The flour can only be taken from the milling machine with a bucket or barrel.
Bugs
- If Milling Machine was destroyed, you can't build a new one in that Windmill until the server is restarted.
Game Development
- Milling Time (2016-11-30)◎ >"Added "Windmill". A Windmill is a large house in which you can build a "Milling Machine". The machine is built separately from the Mill itself, in anticipation of other machineries that we may add in the future. Fill the machine with millable seeds, and watch it turn into glorious flour. There is no quality impact from the machine, and the resulting flour thus has the same qualities as the seeds."
