"You have acquired enough perfection in the art of destruction to begin contemplating the more offensive applications of it. Siegecraft allows you to construct catapults and battering rams to attack enemy claims and walls."

Siegecraft allows you to build siege engines such as the Battering ram or Catapult, it is unlocked by first purchasing the skills Vandalism & Rage

The high cost of this skill along with it's prerequisites skills, make it very difficult for a hearthling lacking many resources to acquire siege engines, so a viable alternative lies in the Wrecking Ball, as it does not require the Siegecraft skill or Brimstone.

Not only is Brimstone required to build both the Battering ram and the Catapult. The Thingpeace also needs to be broken for the province where you like to build them (see Thing Challenge for now).

Game Development

  • World 15 (2023-10-13) >"Siege machines can now only be built and operated in provinces where the Thing Peace has been broken."
  • This Little Light O' Mine (2016-04-26) >"You now need 50 strength, 50 perception, and 50 marksmanship, and a new skill "Siegecraft" to fire a catapult, or use a battering ram. Siegecraft is also required to build catapults and battering rams. All siege machines can still be moved without Siegecraft."
