River Pearls are a rare and valuable Curiosity which can be used in the Study Report to earn Learning Points. This is the best foraging curiosity in the game, giving a massive 5000 base LP for only 1 hour study time and is a type of Gemstone, as well as a Curiosity and a Gilding object that gives boosts on learning ability.

Gilding Attributes are Strength, Chance: 20% to 60%

How to Acquire

Cooking a River Pearl Mussel into a Boiled River Pearl Mussel, will very rarely result in a pearl in addition to a boiled mussel (a 1/100 base). (Note: Jorb has mentioned that the rate at which a pearl can be found has been reduced severely and that you should "not go looking for them, but enjoy it when you come across one")

Notes

  • A pearl's quality is equal to the uncooked mussel's quality, unmodified by cauldron, water, or cooking skill.
