Adders are a snake occasionally seen in Forests and often found in Mountains. Their fangs carry potent venom, so keep a wide berth. Fighting them is pointless as they can be easily trampled and killed instantly. Their fangs and skins can be made into useful equipment like a belt, boots, lacing, an amulet, and their fangs can make an antivenom if you do end up getting nommed on.

Strategy
Unlike other small creatures, adders cannot be trampled by Horses. They can be trampled by Carts, so drag a Cart using a Horse to kill them easily.
There's no real reason to try to fight them, just use above method. If you for some reason want to or got attacked by one at an inopportune time, use a lot of yellow Sweeping defenses, as their yellow attack Serpent's Strike is what causes the awful disease. Keep your yellow opening low at all times or suffer the consequences.
Notes
- As of update Whitemetal Rain you can now be a Snake Eater and walk through the rain and feast on a tree frog.
- Adders inflict Adder Bite wounds, which increase in severity over time and come with a hefty -15 STR per wound. Eventually, the wound will start healing and dissipate. There is a chance that Nerve Damage occurs with adder bites, and it is speculated that it's either from the frequency or amount of adder bites a character has.[1]
- Extremely bountiful on Mountains, if you use a cart you can obtain many in a short time frame, in return it provides 1x2 Fresh Adder Hides while yielding only 1x1 Adder Hides making it less space efficient.
- Adders go after small animals like rabbit or squirrel. Which can be used to get them of 'your' tail. (Saw a snake getting killed by a Wood Grouse Cock, but don't know who started the fight)
