Baking allows the player to make baked goods and other foods. The main buildings needed are an oven to bake and a quern to grind wheat seeds into wheat flour. The main materials used are wheat flour and water. Branches are used as fuel for the oven when baking.

Baking gives your character the ability to mix various pastry doughs, that can then be baked in an oven.

Baking Duration

Each Branch used as fuel lasts approximately 5 minutes. The time required for a specific recipe is measured by number of branches. Leaving dough in an oven for too long results in burning, so it is recommended to place only the required amount of branches in the oven when lighting it, and to not bake recipes with different durations at the same time. Exceeding the baking duration produces Ash.

A Block of Wood or a Board may also be used as fuel. Using blocks of wood is rather pointless, because they can be split into 5 branches of the same quality, while high quality blocks require high quality trees. Boards are a better way to improve the quality of your baking goods, as saw quality is much easier to raise. A board serves as 2 branches worth of fuel.
