How to Acquire
Candleberries can be found in any of the swamps.
If you happen across one, and have the foraging skill, you can harvest it. There is no known way to purposely produce Candleberries, so they can only be found by chance and by increasing exploration and perception skills. The lowest reported Perception * Exploration score to spot Candleberries has been 160 (16 EXP, 10 PER).
How to Use
The main product that utilizes Candleberries is Candleberry Wax. This is the main source of Wax in the early game, before farms and Bee Skeps become abundant.
Other Uses
Candleberries are edible and can be used in recipes that require berry or fruit. Aside from using them accidentally (or in a niche type of food, depending on food system), this is presumably most relevant for Forager Credo, that can give a quest to eat one.
Warning: Candleberries can be used as fodder for Chicken Coops and Food Troughs! Be careful if using shift-right click to add fodder.
