How to Acquire

You need to equip a Smithy's Hammer and you need an Anvil to make a pickaxe.

Pickaxe Quality = ${\frac {{\frac {_{q}Metal+_{q}Bough}{2}}*9+{_{q}Anvil*4+_{q}Smithy'sHammer}*3}{16}}$ and is softcapped by ${\sqrt[{3}]{Strength*Smithing*Masonry}}$ .

Increases Mining speed.
Increases Chip Stone Speed.
Drains the same amount of stamina per tick as an axe. This means that your stamina will drain quicker, as it mines much faster.
Allows boulders to be removed from a Cellar so it can be used.
Increases damage of destruction +2 damage to buildings.
2 hand tool.
Your mining power with the pickaxe is ${\sqrt[{2}]{({q}Pickaxe*2)*Strength}}$ . This means having a better quality pickaxe weighs more than having high strength.

Example: q40 pickaxe and 100 strength is much better than q10 pickaxe and 300+ strength.
