Among the terrain that can be found in the Hearthlands, Grass is unique, existing as the only terrain, besides Dirt, which can be directly made by a Hearthling and found naturally. To create Grass, one must be standing on Dirt, and select the option to plant grass under Landscaping. Additionally, it is one of the only terrains that can be directly paved on.

When found naturally, Grass can spawn trees, bushes, and mirkwood sources, however, this is uncommon enough that unless you stumble upon a rather large area of natural grass, you are unlikely to find any significant flora.
