Raw Hide, Intestines, and Meat are softcapped[1] by Survival and the carving tool used to butcher the badger.
Badgers are aggressive, and will likely engage in combat with nearby players. They are also known to engage in combat to death with nearby foxes.
Combat Behavior
How to combat them
Badgers are weaker than Boars, but stronger than Foxes. The easiest method to kill one, is to use a sling on the badger while on the other side of a large cliff. Make sure the cliff is wide enough so that the badger will not pathfind around it. Then, after hitting the badger until it runs from low health, break combat with it. Let the badger run away, then find it again. Make sure the move speed is set to sprint, and finish the badger off with unarmed or a few more hits of the sling.
Combat Exploit
Watch for a badger fighting a fox. If the badger dies, it is easy to pick up and bring home. If the fox dies, it will be easy to finish the badger off with Archery or Unarmed, and you also get a free fox.
