Grammophone Crane (2026-01-14)

| Grammophone Crane | 2026-01-14 | <No Pages> -- (New Implementations) |
| Made it so that armor can be repaired using another piece of (the same type of) armor. A piece of armor restores armor HP by conferring the amount of HP it has left to the piece being repaired, plus an additional amount (20%) based on its total HP, soft capped by the crafting ability values used by the crafting recipe for the armor type. The repaired armor will be proportionally quality adjusted. This means that broken armor pieces have at least some potential use as a few points of repair conferred to another piece. Do note that it, thus, is probably a bad idea to repair a mildly damaged high quality piece of armor using a destroyed piece of low quality armor. | ||

| Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |
|---|---|---|
| Change | ||
| Polar Crocus | 2026-02-11 | Ice Bear -- (New Implementations) |
| Added "Ice Bear"s. These are what you and I would know as Polar Bears, but Hearthlings have no conception of poles. "Ice Bear"s appear only during Winter, as the colder season extends their range from out of the farthest, uncharted, North, angrier and deadlier than ordinary "Bear"s. (I realize that ingame Winter just having ended makes this slightly anti-climactic, but maybe something to look forward to for the next?). They come complete with teeth, meat, hides and a cape. | ||

| Fixed stacking of items inside container items (e.g. "Creel", "Poacher's Pouch", "Seedbag"s). Some caveats apply, as auto-stacking will not (yet) be able to detect existing stacks/items inside container items, but it seemed like a significant improvement that they are able to hold stacks at all that we decided to push it in a slightly unfinished state. There is a plan for the fuller fix. | ||
| Polar Crocus | 2026-02-11 | Thing Challenge, War Flag, Rage -- (Key Fixes) |

| Building input slots should now display their tooltip pages properly when hovered over. | ||

| Polar Crocus | 2026-02-11 | (GFX), Tar Kiln -- (Small Fixes) |

| Polar Crocus | 2026-02-11 | (GFX), Tidepool -- (Small Fixes) |
| "Tidepool"s should now appear visually on the lowest point under them where they are standing. Noticed a couple of mildly floating ones. Hope they don't bleed too badly into the ground in places, and that it looks better. Report your mileage, and other objects with same problem. | ||

| "Smithy's Hammer"s can now be placed on "Anvil"s, by simply holding the hammer, and right-clicking the anvil. They will not be automagically equipped when using the anvil (yet), but being able to leave them on the anvil is perhaps an improvement? Suggested various places. | ||

| Onion Marker | 2026-04-02 | (GFX) -- (Key Fixes) |
| Fixed the bug by which animation sound and FX tracks would be split off to leg animations only, causing you to e.g. not play butchering sounds when butchering an animal while sitting on a horse (since that uses another leg animation/pose). | Added "Wickerman Mask", mask. | ||
| Reinforced Map | 2026-04-16 | (UI), Thingwall -- (Key Fixes) |
| Added support for automatic update of map markers. :There is now support for updating map markers automatically with server side info. :Thingwalls now use this to attempt to communicate their status, if they are controlled, when they can be challenged, &c. :On existing maps, you must re-visit the Thingwalls to get them registered to your local map as updating objects. :Dynamic icons have some update problems to be ironed out in that you need to invalidate the client-side tooltips in order to refresh them properly. This can be done by logging out/in, or scrolling the icon out of view. :Relatedly, standardized the scale rendering of map icons. The immediate consequence is that all icons should now render in the same size. Arguably some wonders and such should perhaps remain large as they were. Considering. :The idea here is to provide all players ready access to public information without the need to run around the map. Arguably, natural wonders and such could also report their status. :Do note that updated clients will now save the map in a format which older clients are unable to read, so if you resave your map by logging in on an updated client, you may find it difficult to return. Backup your maps if you are worried. | ||
| Reinforced Map | 2026-04-16 | (UI) -- (Key Fixes) |

| Duckwall | 2026-05-02 | (UI), Thingwall -- (Key Fixes) |

Orange Alchemy (2026-05-17)
| Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |
|---|---|---|
| Change | ||
| Orange Alchemy | 2026-05-17 | Alchemy, Alchemy Book -- (New Implementations) |
| Added "Alchemy Book", helpful user interface. The "Alchemy Book" collects and remembers the recipes of all (effectful) elixirs you have discovered. Note that processed alchemical ingredients, e.g. "Herbal Grind"s, crafted before the patch won't be properly represented in the alchemy book. Additional feature requests and UI feedback welcome!. | ||
| Orange Alchemy | 2026-05-17 | Crane Fly -- (New Implementations) |
| "Crane Fly", insect, curiosity. | ||
| Orange Alchemy | 2026-05-17 | Duck à l'Orange -- (New Implementations) |
| "Duck à l'Orange", dish. Suggested here. | ||
| Orange Alchemy | 2026-05-17 | Wounds -- (Key Fixes) |
| Reworked the internal wound healing definitions to make it so that time-to-heal is a function of wound and treatment, rather than just being a property of the treatment itself. This is mostly a technicality of specification, but the main idea is that a treatment should increase the native healing speed of a wound, rather than dictate the healing pace. Most wound treatment timers have changed on account of the change, some gaining and some losing, but we hope that the net effect is neutral. Let us know if something seems way off. | ||
| Orange Alchemy | 2026-05-17 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) |
| Fixed a problem in the rendering code which caused crashes among other times when being attacked by multiple enemies. Reported e.g. here. Some speculation that this may have been the old "nVidia bug" which we organized a whole dev stream to try to reproduce a few years back. Big thanks to github user onefuncman for a strong lead. | ||
| Orange Alchemy | 2026-05-17 | (UI) -- (Small Fixes) |
| Added support for high-resolution scrolling (on supported platforms) for such things as scrollbars, camera zoom and placement rotation, so that supporting devices (eg. touchpads) can scroll with pixel granularity. | ||
| Orange Alchemy | 2026-05-17 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) |

| Orange Alchemy | 2026-05-17 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) |
| Fixed a missing whitespace in the tooltip for "Spherical Parchment Lantern". | ||
Gongalong! (2026-05-27)
| Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |
|---|---|---|
| Change | ||
| Gongalong! | 2026-05-27 | Gong Stand -- (New Implementations) |
| Added "Gong Stand", a decorative "instrument"/piece of furniture. Right-click to activate, and right-click again to whack. No two metal types sound quite alike!. | ||
| Gongalong! | 2026-05-27 | (UI), (GFX) -- (Key Fixes) |
| Reworked the crafting input selector a bit. Input slots are now highlighted in red if they lack input. You can hover over an input slot to highlight the item currently selected for it. You can left-click an input slot to get a cursor with which you can point at the input you would like to use for the slot. Noticed that e.g. alchemy recipes were quite unwieldy to craft. | ||
| Gongalong! | 2026-05-27 | (UI), Alchemy, Alchemy Book -- (Key Fixes) |
| Did more work on the "Alchemy Book". Negative effects are now properly displayed. You can now filter your elixir list on effects and/or inputs. There is now a separate page which lists known effects on primitive alchemical inputs. (Some outstanding things left to fix: Favorites, ingredient entries for processed inputs, distinction between wound conversion and wound healing. The two pages in the book currently borrow icons from the Character Sheet.). | ||
| Gongalong! | 2026-05-27 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) |
| Fixed a bug by which it was possible to bypass the give-hat-away timers by using Valhalla. The give-hat-away timers are now counted in objective UTC time, rather than server time. All give-away-hat timers have been removed, so if you had initiated donation of a hat, you will now have to redo that. Apologies. | ||

| "Salt Crystal"s, "Curious Needle"s, "Ant Chitin", "Cave Louse Chitin", and "Ant Wing"s now all stack, and can be held in the "Poacher's Pouch". | ||
| Gongalong! | 2026-05-27 | Ant Queen's Wings, Bee Wings, Bug, Poacher's Pouch -- (Small Fixes) |
| Queen Ant/Bee Wings, and all "Bugs", can be held in the "Poacher's Pouch". | ||
| Gongalong! | 2026-05-27 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) |

| Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |
|---|---|---|

| Added "Hasenpfeffer", food item. | ||
| Pfefferbench | 2026-06-15 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) |
| Reworked the crafting input menu such that: :You can hold an item, and left-click an input slot, to limit the slot to only take items of that type. :You can also limit an input slot to a particular input type by shift-left-clicking with the slot's input selection cursor active. (I.e. Left click input slot -> Shift-Left-Click a "Chantrelles" -> Slot is now limited to "Chantrelles"). | ||
| Pfefferbench | 2026-06-15 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) |
| Added recipe search by input. In the "Action Search" menu, at the bottom, there is now a "Search by ingredient" button. Clicking this, and then some input type, presents all known recipes which accepts the item in question as input. | ||
| Pfefferbench | 2026-06-15 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) |
| "Mortar & Pestle"s can now be placed on "Alchemist's Table"s. | ||
| Pfefferbench | 2026-06-15 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) |
| Made it so that equippable tools placed on work-benches can be used directly/implicitly, without going through the lolercoaster of manually equipping them. This currently works for "Smithy's Hammer"s placed on "Anvil"s and "Mortar & Pestle"s placed on "Alchemist's Table"s. Note that a manually equipped tool will always have priority over a tool equipped to a work-bench. | ||
| Pfefferbench | 2026-06-15 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) |
| Since my "Mound Bed"s ran out in the dead of winter: Reworked "Mound Bed" such that they can be replenished whenever they are below full levels of water/mulch. Should a "Mound Bed" deactivate due to running out of mulch/water entirely, it will need to be fully replenished before it activates again. | ||
